The Echo Ruins are Node 3 of The Lattice — the decayed remains of a defunct social media platform called Echo. Abandoned after the platform's collapse, Echo's infrastructure has degraded into a digital graveyard where corrupted data structures litter the landscape and the platform's recommendation algorithm still operates in the background, serving content to users who no longer exist.
Overview
Echo was once a massive social platform that connected millions of users. When it collapsed, the Lattice preserved its infrastructure as abandoned data — server rooms filled with corrupted profiles, degraded media, and broken social graphs. The Consortium never bothered to clean it up.
Lyra chose this location to hide her dead-drop precisely because nobody goes here anymore. The ruins are low-security but unsettling — evidence of a thriving community reduced to digital rubble.
