The Onyx Market is Node 5 of The Lattice — a dark web bazaar operated by FENCE, one of the last surviving creations of the Reclaimers. The Market serves as the game's primary trading hub, where players buy and sell programs, data, upgrades, and information.
Overview
The Onyx Market exists in a legal gray zone — technically within Lattice territory but operating outside The Consortium's direct control. FENCE maintains the peace through a combination of automated enforcement and economic incentive: anyone who causes trouble is banned from the most profitable marketplace in the network.
